Ms. Choi and Kim Hyun Joong took the scheduled paternity tests on December 14 at Seoul National University Hospital.
Ms. Choi had appeared at the hospital with her lawyer and the baby bundled in her arms. While Kim Hyun Joong's lawyer had expressed that it would be difficult for the actor to participate in the testing because of his active enlistment status, he also showed up at the hospital, though not at the same time as Ms. Choi.
Ms. Choi herself didn't say anything regarding the testing, the birth of her baby, any correspondence with Kim Hyun Joong, or the baby's gender; her lawyer, Sun Jong Moon spoke in her stead, saying, "We are taking the test, and we're 100% certain that the baby is Kim Hyun Joong's. We will issue a statement following the test results."
