A group has been arrested for hiring a former girl group member, a fashion model, and more for expensive prostitution at a luxurious hotel in the area of Gangnam, Seoul.
According to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Department on October 20, a 31-year-old Mr. Park, the head of the enterprise, was arrested while 27 others, including 11 prostitutes and one man accused of buying sex, were booked without detention.

The police state that the heads of the prostitution ring, including Mr. Park, started receiving an hourly rate of 900,000 to 1,500,000 KRW (~ 800 to 1,000 USD) from men with specialized jobs at a hotel from August to October 19 by providing them with prostitutes.
The 20 beautiful women recruited by the prostitution ring leaders include a former member of a girl group that is still active, a fashion model, an aspiring actress, and a university student, marketed on the internet under 'Female Secretary - High-Price Lover Proxies' and similar titles. They evaded police suspicion and arrest by changing their hotels regularly and the like.
According to MBN News 8, the leaders of the ring would meet the men outside of the hotel, go into the room with them, and then call over the woman via a chatting app on their smart phones. Following the news of a former girl group member being involved, the online sphere became flooded with guesses by netizens.
