[Drama Review] 'She Was Pretty' - Episode 3

Siwon, Hwang Jung Eum, Park Seo Joon, Go Jun Hee
Hye Jin still can't seem to get her sh*t together and Sung Joon has not the slightest idea that Hye Jin is the first love from his childhood. *sighhhhhhh* The story of 'She Was Pretty' is stuck in going 'round and 'round in the same place like a watermill. It doesn't seem like the story will progress any further until possibly the middle of the drama.

Though Hye Jin proves herself a more than capable worker, she is taken advantage of and shoved around by the people at 'The Most,' who be always doin' the most. At one point, it gets much too unbearable for Hye Jin that she goes back to the administrative department of Jin Sung Group, 'The Most's parent company, and begs the department head to take her back after three months.

Oh no...why is she back here again..

Take me back or I will come find you. And I will kill you.

Sung Joon continues to verbally abuse Hye Jin for her blunders, and Hye Jin of course, becoming mentally paralyzed every time she is around Sung Joon, can't even defend herself properly.

I can't stand you.

Let's see if you'll say the same once you find out who I really am.

To prevent further embarrassment, Hye Jin, with the help of her bestie and roomie Ha Ri, diligently studies a bit about the cutthroat world of fashion. After a couple days of studying, Hye Jin becomes somewhat of an expert in everything fashion and beauty related...unfortunately she is still nowhere close to being "most-like."

Lady, plz...look at your own clothes before you criticize others people's outfits...plz

Shin Hyuk continues to 'woo' Hye Jin in his own twisted and weird way--annoying her to no end at every turn and even sneakily getting her to go on a date with him by tricking her. He may not be the most suave guy a girl meets, but he sure is charming...charming in an eccentric, buffoon-ish sort of way, anyway.

ew. not you again.

keke she's secretly so into meh.

yep..that disgusted look totally means she's into you.

aw yeah, my ladykiller game on lock!

No matter how unkempt he may be and how annoying Shin Hyuk may act towards Hye Jin, he has an undeniable, magnetic sort of charm that you can't help but fall for and make you like him. He's actually kind of adorable! I was watching the drama with alim17 and I think she said around 5 gajillion times that Siwon looks like cat.

Oh Em Gee. she's so right.

What do you mean Siwon's basic a$$ looks like me. For the record, I'm better looking.

And then we got the back sob story of Ha Ri, whose slightly dysfunctional family makes for a nice, hackneyed secondary plot for a Saturday morning drama.

lulz, they added my story as filler but those idiots will never know!!

gurl plz. we see right through your scheme.

I can't forget to mention the creepiest part of this episode: when Sung Joon runs into Hye Jin's younger sis--played by the very same actress who played the younger Hye Jin. And smiles at her. While love music plays in the background.

So..let me get this straight. Sung Joon thinks he's met the real Hye Jin who is actually Ha Ri only pretending to be Hye Jin and Hye Jin's younger sister who looks like Hye Jin appeared out of nowhere to shake up Sung Joon's heart, so the shock will be even greater when he realizes that no one is who they say they are! Poor fellow. He has no idea what's in store for him. I can't wait until everything goes down!

why hello there, child.

um, ahjusshi? I don't believe I know you, so why are you smiling at me like that.
