Production team were against his casting but Joo Won reveals why he was cast in 'Baker King, Kim Tak Goo'

Joo Won�first made a name for himself when he played the angsty, hatred filled character in 'Baker King, Kim Tak Goo,' gaining immense popularity and bringing even more love to the drama, yet he was not the drama's first choice for the role?

He sat down for an interview with MBC's 'Section TV' recently where Park Seul Gi asked, "I heard that during 'Baker King, Kim Tak Goo,' everybody except the writer was against you being cast."

Joo Won replied, "At the time, the writer asked the actors who came for the audition, 'Will you be able to play this role well?' �Then, the other actors were a bit hesitant, but I, without hesitating for even a second, replied, 'Yes.' �I think [the writer] looked at that favorably."
