According to Chinese media outlet Sina, a post on Weibo surfaced allegedly stating that Tao will leave SM Entertainment and then sign under Chinese agency Huayi Brothers. The post also stated that Tao's co-star Huang XiaoMing in the upcoming Chinese film, 'My Sunshine', formally introduced the idol to the agency.

The report of this rumor went on to stir the emotions of the fans who are already still shaken up about Kris and Luhan leaving EXO and SM Entertainment just last year. Rumors of Tao and Lay leaving EXO along with Kris and Luhan also surfaced last year, so the new gossip about Tao's leave once again put fans on alert.
However, a rep from Huayi Brothers and manager of Tao's co-star Huang XiaoMing dismissed the rumors, writing, "I guess false rumors can really sell. I think someone is plotting something. We are just quietly trying to film a movie."
Meanwhile, Tao and the rest of EXO will be making their comeback, which will kick off with their second domestic solo concert this weekend!
