An agency rep spoke with a few media outlets to reveal, "Due to Jina's battle with encephalitis, Bob Girls decided to halt their activities, and their contracts with the agency have been dissolved."

"We learned about Jina's health issue around December. After being tested at the hospital, we learned that she had developed encephalitis. It's not severe, but it is something that does take consistent care and treatment. Although it's fine when leading a normal daily life, the doctor's opinion was that it might be difficult the carry on the life of a singer. The other members also felt bad about continuing promotions as Bob Girls while Jina is unwell. The contracts have been terminated, and we made this decision in hopes that these friends will be able to continue on celebrity activities soon under a better company."
