Earlier this month, Ladies' Code's manager Park was found guilty of speeding before the vehicular crash that led to members EunB and RiSe's death. He was sentenced to one year and two months in jail.

As the K-Pop community continues to grieve the tragic loss of the Ladies' Code members, many can't help but wonder how the court can gain justice for their deaths. With prosecution recently appealing to the court for a harsher sentence and Polaris Entertainment appealing for a lighter one, K-Pop fans are abuzz, arguing whether or not Park's punishment is fair.

While alim17 believes that Park's one year and two months sentence makes sense, pakman finds it to be too harsh.

While alim17 makes a good point that the Park needs to serve as an example for other managers and drivers in general by serving his sentence, pakman also makes a good point that it seems unfair that only Park would get severely punished for a mistake many others make habitually.

What do you guys thinks?

Nightowl : "This is a very controversial subject but I'll share my opinion freely. ;I do blame the manager because he was aware that he was speeding and that speeding could lead to serious accidents, yet he did it anyway. ;This was a stupid idea and if he were to just slow down and drive safely then none of this would have happened. ;Then again I don't know if he had any choice. ;The company most likely would have fired him if he hadn't driven them to their destination on time. ;Companies in South Korea are really harsh and strict and powerful and they stress their workers out, so it was partially the driver's fault since he was in control and he shouldn't have agreed to be their manager if he knew he would've been stressed, panicked, and rushed, but it's also the company's fault for making the manager stressed out and making their schedules so tight and packed. ;In the end, it wasn't entirely his fault and he shouldn't be sentenced to jail for as long as a year and 2 months. ;A couple months at most is a fair punishment. ;The company should be the one getting severely punished... oh and by the way R.I.P. EunB and RiSe <3 They NEVER deserved to die at such a young age. ;Just what life does to you, right? ;Sorry if I offended anyone. ;Blessings to both of their families as well as the manager who passed away as well. ;Just keep on pushing through :)"

indeed, the manager should be punished for speeding yet aware of it unsafety because of the rain and slippery road, and the Polaris company also should be punished even more as they make the manager as their scapegoat. Manager is to manage, and they should not be bothered by being driver.

Yet one man must know his capabilities beyond his foolishness. Should the manager just keep at safe pace and being late to the next LC's shooting place, we would see all LC memebrs today. RIP EunB and Rise, may the God shows you a beautiful heaven

the fan should understand that the manager part is the biggest part and always help the group with all effort .the company should prepare for the group have their own driver and do not put the manager as driver to they have many think to manage for their group that is tired job to do .....if you sit at the manager place do you tired for do all the work to manage their daily activities.... ;

WTF polaris, your shutting down?!!

;While not a scandal but a sad tragedy, Polaris is also home to Ladies' Code who tragically lost two members in September 2014 following a car accident. The driver, who was the girls' manager, was charged and sentenced recently.

What the!! he should get a harsher punishment in my opinion because his actions led to the death of two people!!

After reading the comments I guess yes the higher ups should also get punished and not just the manager u _ u

It's way too harsh for only the manger to be punished and receive all the heat while the agencies or companies or whatever are completely responsible for the reason why Ladies code and their manager couldn't get a night rest ;at the location they were preforming at ( which they didn't finish until very late at night ) and they overloaded their seclude to the point where they have to drive late ! in bad weather conditions just to make the dead line of their next performance !!! ;

it's ridiculous that the only one getting blamed here is the manger the whole company should be sued ! ;

my thoughts are with Ladies code and their loved ones as well as the manager who was driving ;

I think it's fair but it's also just distracting from the more important issue. There are few repercussions for companies to impose unsafe and unfair working conditions on both their artists and the managers. I think someone needs to have a serious conversation with idols about unionization.

I honestly think it's 50/50. ;

Like he was speeding and the outcome was 2 girl died. He should of been mature and think, for not to speed. However, some people aren't strong will minded. They get pressured easily. The company, obviously pressured the poor men, he was probably scared himself. A lot of people are scared of huge companies. It's called peer pressure, everyone went through it.

However, if he wasn't strong will minded he should have never taken the job. To be honest, I think 1 year and 2 months is reasonable. He did break the law, but he didn't do it on purpose, especially if he was the driver of celebrities. I'm sure he'll learn his lesson.

Also, I'm amazed of how Dahee was sentenced to prison for 3 years for blackmailing but someone who speeds and lost 2 lives of humans was sentenced for a year and 2 months. ;

Yes, I know they changed Dahee's punishment to something better/less harsh but it still doesn't make any sense. ;

He was the companies scapegoat why can't people see that

Sara1992baby Monday, February 2, 2015

Exactly ! it's really weird how everyone is coming down on the manager and they're not paying attention to the root of the problem

ledapple_3 Saturday, January 31, 2015

both sides have a point...he was the one who sped, but it was certainly the company's actions that made him do so
