A South Korean man named T.K. Lee recently bought the hat of historical figure Napoleon Bonaparte shown above (image: Reuters). He bought it at the Onsenat auction house at a whopping price of 1.9 million euros (approximately $2.4 million USD)--which is... a lot of money.

The hat was expected to sell for 400,000 euros ($503,000 USD), around five times less than what T.K Lee paid in the end. The hat is a black, bicorne felt hat that contains two corners. Bonaparte was known to wear this hat sideways so that the corners would align with his shoulders, ensuring that everyone could recognize his silhouette in the battlefield.

And possibly at a costume party. Looks like someone's going to be Napoleon next year for Halloween!
