Rookie idol groups to go head to head in new variety show 'Idol Battle' hosted by Danny Ahn

Mnet announced on the 15th, "We will air a newly created 4-episode program 'Idol Battle' which features rookie idols having a real battle against each other."

'Idol Battle' is a dream come true for many fans as well as rookie groups in this tough idol market, as it will put the spotlight on two rookie groups at a time as they compete with one another through various missions. They'll have to battle one another on challenges involving PR, stamina, and teamwork. One of the highlights of the show will be a guerrilla concert through which the groups will get to further showcase their talent.

Danny Ahn shared, "Although I am very nervous for my first job as a solo MC, I will lead the program comfortably to help to bring out the talent and charms of the rookie artists as much as possible."

'Idol Battle' will premiere on the 16th at 7:30 PM KST with Big Star and Boys Republic as its first guests. Hello Venus, 2EYES, C-CLOWN, MYNAME, and more are also set to feature on the following episodes!
