4minute's Sohyun cast as the female lead in upcoming film 'Hwanggu'

Sohyun will play the role of college student Mi Soo who always cheers on her boyfriend, a Taekwondo athlete on the national team. She is a very noble character who does charity work and speaks up when she sees injustice.

Sohyun shared, "This is my first time being on my own, and my heart is full of excitement to appear on screen in such a good production. As much as this is a very meaningful production, I will do my best so that viewers will be able to watch it warmly."

'Hwanggu' is directed by 'Miss Gold Digger's director Park Yong Jib and portrays the story of a man with a Filipino father and Korean mother who later tries out to become a national Taekwondo athlete. The movie is bound to touch viewers with the main character's growth into a strong human being both inside and out while overcoming setbacks in life as the son of multi-cultural parents.

'Hwanggu' will begin filming on October 28 and premiere in the first half of 2014.
