11 male trainees were split up into teams A and B. Team A has an average age of 20 and consists of familiar faces including Kang Seung Yoon, Lee Seung Hoon, Nam Tae Hyun, Song Min Ho (current leader), and Kim Jin Woo. Team B has an average age of 17 and consists of leader B.I (Han Bin), Kim Jin Hwan, Bobby, Song Yoon Hyung, Goo Jun Hee, and Kim Dong Hyuk.
During their usual performance test at the end of the month, the boys were surprised to see cameras in the room and were told by Yang Hyun Suk that they will compete against each other for a possible debut. Only one team will win and will make their debut with the ending of the program, determined by the viewers' votes. The team will be known as WINNER.
As for the losing team, Yang Hyun Suk mentions that the team can be disbanded, members can be changed out, or that their debut could even be pushed back as far as 4 years.
