As one of the longest-running variety couples on television, the 'Monday Couple' of Gary and Song Ji Hyo have enjoyed continuing popularity on 'Running Man'. During a chance encounter on the latest episode, the couple flashed back to their initial moments.
Gary had been designated to seek out the opposing team during the final nametag-ripping mission. Coming upon Song Ji Hyo hiding in a corner, he found himself trapped between a rock and a hard place - a decision not made easier by her imploring, puppy-like gaze.

Seeing her trapped, Gary reminisced back to the moment when the 'Monday Couple' began under very similar circumstances three years ago. However, their romantic moment was broken up when Koo Ja Cheol burst in through the door to save the 'Ace', and it was revealed that Song Ji Hyo was only stalling for time until help could arrive, leaving a distraught Gary to be outed once again. "It's always like this, for three and a half years," he complained as he was dragged away.
