Singer Lee Hyori is refusing to appear on commercials.
According to a staff member at her agency, Lee Hyori is currently rejecting offers from companies asking her to appear in commercials for their products.
The staff member stated to TV Daily on November 28th, "Lee Hyori has asked the agency to reject any offers for commercials that come in and our company will comply with her wishes.� She does not want to appear in them and we have no desire to force her to participate in something that she does not want to do."
Regarding Lee Hyori's future activities the staff member said, "There are no plans regarding any broadcasts.� We will figure things out after Lee Hyori comes to a decision herself."
In a conversation she had with a professor of Seoul Law School on November 18th, Lee Hyori mentioned the way that she rejects commercials by saying, "I was once the flower of capitalism and the greatest beneficiary of it and remembered thinking about how encouraging it is.� Whenever I saw articles titled, 'Is this the Season of Lee Hyori?' I would get depressed and think, 'Am I still clinging on to these things?'" and honestly shared what was in her heart.
