Psy will be the first Korean artist to perform at the MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA).
On the 23rd, the '2012 MTV Europe Music Awards' announced, "Psy will be attending as a performer at the MTV EMA that will be held in Germany." Psy was nominated for 'Best Video' with "Gangnam Style", going up against top artists such as Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, M.I.A., and Rihanna.
There had been other Korean artists who had attended and received awards such as Big Bang, but Psy will be the first Korean artist to actually perform at the MTV EMA. Psy said, "I was nominated for the first time in a worldwide music award, but I'm also able to perform in front of fans all over the world. I'm really excited because my first international music award performance will be at MTV EMA."
