Actor Cha Tae Hyun and After School's UEE have been confirmed to be the lead roles for the upcoming KBS 2TV drama 'Jeon Woo Chi'. Previously, it was rumored that UEE would star in the drama with 2PM's Taecyeon.
'Jeon Woo Chi' tells the story of a monk who gained powers after swallowing the nine-tailed fox's bead. He goes to Joseon to to avenge Hong Gil Dong, but he ends up saving the people there and becomes a hero. Cha Tae Hyun will be playing the main character Jeon Woo Chi, and UEE will be playing Jeon Woo Chi's love interest, Princess Hong Moo Hyun of his original country.
Although Cha Tae Hyun has been active in movies and variety shows, this is the first time in 3 years that he will be acting in a drama. It is UEE's second time acting in a historical drama after MBC's 'Queen Seonduk'.
Sung Dong Il and Lee Hee Joon have also been cast for the drama, and filming will begin on the 25th. It is the follow up project to 'Nice Guy', and will start airing at the end of November.
