Psy and Son Dam Bi shed tears on 'Superstar K4'

The story behind Psy's tears during the military preliminaries on 'Superstar K 4' has been revealed.

During the most recent episode of Mnet's 'Superstar K 4' judges Psy and Son Dam Bi shed tears after hearing the story of a soldier's love for his mother.

For the regional auditions, the judges made a visit to a military training base in order to give soldiers a chance to audition for 'Superstar K4'. Soldier Lee Yong Hyuk was one of the many who walked onto the stage as a contestant.

Lee Yong Hyuk confessed, "As I enlisted in the military I learned of my mother's breast cancer. She has been receiving treatment with the cancer having spread to her brains. In the worst case scenario, she may have less than 6 months to live. This [audition]�may be the last chance I can do something special for her."

Lee Yong Hyuk's mother then made a surprise appearance on the set to cheer for her son. The two's tearful reunion had left the entire set in tears as well. Lee Yong Hyuk then sang his audition song "Mother" by Ra.D, and judges Psy and Son Dam Bi shed uncontrollable tears watching the soldier sing for his mother.
