IU has been receiving several love calls from the drama industry.
An official stated, "She's received about 10 drama casting offers so far. We've been having positive discussions so far, but there aren't any plans set in stone yet aside from her international schedules. We are, however, planning a variety of activities for her."
IU made her acting debut through KBS's 'Dream High' in 2011 so the news of offers aren't too far fetched. The singer is currently in London to support the Korean athletes at the '2012 London Olympics' and will be due back home by the 4th. She will be focusing on her Japanese concert, 'IU Friendship Special Concert Fall 2012' in September.
Aside from her acting endeavors, IU has been doing well with her Japanese advancement so far, ranking in at fourth on the Oricon daily singles chart with 'You and I', which was released on July 18th.
