Shayne, one of the Top 3 contestants on the last season of MBC's talent show program, "Birth of a Great Star",�is rumored to be signing with Sony Music.
The singer was seen at a gathering for Sony Music artists on August 24th, and many are suspecting it might not be a coincidence.
'Birth of a Great Star' mentor and veteran singer Shin Seung Hoon also commented on the 16th through his�me2day, "It seems there will be some good news soon with regards to Shayne and an album contract." Shin Seung Hoon is reported to have taken a large part in getting Shayne an album deal.
A representative of Sony Music stated, "Though it is true that we're negotiating, nothing is certain yet."
If the rumors have any truth to them, Shayne from Canada may be joining singers Tim, Kim Bo Kyung, and pianist Yiruma, who are currently signed with Sony as well.
