Trot queen
Jang Yoon Jung had a special meeting with a 15-year-old girl who is sick with leukemia.
The girl,
Choi Hee Joo, has been a fan of Jang Yoon Jung for a while now, and had wished to meet the artist in person.
With the help of
Make-a-Wish Foundation, this meeting came true and Jang Yoon Jung invited Hee Joo, along with her family, to a concert. Luckily, it was Hee Joo's birthday that day, so Jang Yoon Jung presented her with a signed couple shirt, mug cup, a necklace with Hee Joo's initals, and various other birthday presents.
Although Hee Joo was tired the past few days because of her illness, on that day, she brightly came on stage and sang "
Uh-Mu-Na" with Jang Yoon Jung.
Even after the performance, Jang Yoon Jung met with Hee Joo to listen to the story of her illness. Afterward, Jang Yoon Jung gave some encouraging words to Hee Joo.
Jang Yoon Jung joked, "
Aren't you at the age where you would like SNSD? I was surprised to hear that you were a big fan of mine. However, I am really thankful for that." She then stated, "
It is really hard during this period, but it is very important to have the mindset that you will get well. Promise me that you will meet me again when you are all well. "
