Promotional posters for the tearjerker movie, My Love by My Side have been released. The movie stars Kim Myung Min as Jong Woo who has Lou Gehrig's disease (progressive, fatal, neurodegenerative disease) and Ha Ji Won who plays a supportive character, Ji Soo. Despite soldiering bravely against the Lou Gehrig's disease that he has, Jong Woo eventually loses control over his body, and is only able to express his emotions through his eyes which remains fine.
Kim Myung Min shed more than 20kgs during the filming of the movie, to give a convincing portrayal of the progressive degeneration of the disease afflicting his character, Jong Woo. Kim Myung Min looks really unrecognizable from the movie posters.
The storyline of the movie sounds almost like the Japanese tearjerker drama, 1 Litre of Tears but it should be still worth watching since Kim Myung Min is in it. The movie My Love by My Side hits cinemas on 24th September.
