After Lee Junki on Family Outing, the next guest has been confirmed to be MMA exponent, Chu Sung Hoon (aka Yoshihiro Akiyama) who will engage in some "fighting" with Yoo Jae Suk, Lee Hyori and the other family members. Choo Sung Hoon has begun the 1 night, 2 days filming for Family Outing in a location near Seoul on 18th May and will catch flower crabs, plus the possiblity of teaching the family members some fighting techniques. A production staff for Family Outing said in an interview before the filming, "Choo Sung Hoon will be appearing on the next episode of Family Outing and will be taking part in tasks like catching flower crabs with the other family members. He will be showing what he is best at in his field." When asked if Choo Sung Hoon will be displaying his martial arts skills, the staff expressed, "He will be showing his fighting techniques but it will not be as strong as what he does in his usual fights. He will tone it down to suit the family members and make it safe for everyone." You might be wondering, who in the blazing hell is Chu Sung Hoon. Well, like many of you, I was perplexed as well. Did some googling and in a nutshell, Choo Sung Hoon was born as a 4th generation Korean Japanese in Korea. But due to certain restrictions despite his awesome skills as a judo exponent, he wasn't allowed to represent Korea for competitions. He switched allegiance to become a Japanese and became known as Yoshihiro Akiyama. He then won a gold medal at the 2002 Asian Games, and ironically, he had defeated a Korean judo exponent in the final. He was subsequently blamed heavily by the Korean media and people for his actions. He later switched to becoming a mixed martial arts (MMA) exponent in Japan and has had a pretty successful career where he has only lost once. He managed to regain the trust of the Korean population after a match in 2008 where he told reporters, "I am not a Korean anymore, but the blood running though my heart is all Korean."
