After School Covers Shinhwa's Wild Eyes

Shinhwa has had many hit songs over the years in their long history although they did admit in an interview that, it was a regret that none of their songs became national songs (known by people of all ages). But among them, Wild Eyes is probably one of the more outstanding tracks with its fast tempo, rythmn and is most often paraodied by people in the entertainment industry. So it was no surprise that Pledis Entertainment 6 member girl group, After School choose to do a cover of Wild Eyes during the 30th April episode of MNET M! Countdown. Shinhwa had 6 members, After School had 6 members after UEE joined them recently, so it looked good on paper. Granted that it was lipsynced, the girls still did well with their respective parts while their dance routine was executed correctly, with the chair dance being the highlight of the entire performance anyway. But still, it sounded weird because the song seemed like it was made just for guys and it was just lacking when the girls did it. Perhaps the original version left too deep an impression on me.
