I wonder sometimes whether BoA likes to keep a relatively low profile anymore beyond a few project, so we just don't see and hear about her as much?  It seems like she had very good success with her Korean releases in 2012, but we haven't heard a lot from her musically since then or for whatever reason the market has soured on her or her songs simply haven't connected with the public.  I wonder too if with the success she had at her peak, she's just not that stoked to do the constant promotion cycle grind that you seemingly have to do to stay relevant in music.  She almost certainly made very good money and probably invested well, so money may not be much of a motivator for her either.  It's easy to forget that she's only 30 years old even though her career has been so long that you would think she is in her mid or late 30's.

She's been transitioning to acting, she's one of two executive level talent directors, she does promotions in Japan, AND she's been dating since last year. She's always kept things hidden after what happened to her in Japan. And yes, she's loaded. She's basically at that point in here career where she could release an album of her reading the Seoul phone book and it would make money.

I don't know, the Seoul phone book is hard to dance to and does't make a good ballad either. I was thinking maybe the Jeju-do phonebook would be better. :)

And as a big active fan in the forum"BoAjjang", all her fans wished that she takes a break because her health and vocal condition was seriously affected by her overactivity. I still remember when she performed coughing or hiding her fractures of her pelvis and her legs because she really wanted to perform on stage. She became really dangerous for herself. She's certainly a real Ace, and have a strong image, that's why some people are scared about her : she's really tomboyish, determinated and competitive. Her career was kind of controversed too because she debuted too young (13), and was considered overexploited by her label because she promoted alone as a little girl in a foreign country (Japan, where she became bigger than in Korea). She said in her interviews that she was depressed and alone in Japan, but now it became her second family, even for most japanese people, BoA is japanese. Her favorite dancers (she has her own dancer troupe for her performances), her bestfriend (Aya Matsuura) are all japanese. Japan became her second home and most of koreans don't like it because they think she's a traitor, and her image was really affected by her relationship between Japan and Korea because she suffered of racism. Solo career as a singer dancer is hard in Korea, only ballad solo singer are successful in Korea to be honest. But the voice of BoA is not really the best to sing ballad, because she has a joyful young voice but very nasal too. It's a serious issue in Korea that she haven't fixed it, but the real cause is that she spends a lot of her activities in Japan and for having a japanese accent you get the typical "nasal voice". That's why koreans begins to hate it more. If koreans was less racist, BoA would never see her image tarnish in this way.
She growns up now and I think she's conscious of all of what I said, that's why she prefers to spend time with things she loves and not sacrifice herself again to get the big fortune... she has already experienced it for a long time, all her youth... She's the leader of Hallyu Wave (she's its origin) and became a Executive Creative Director of her diabolic label SM, that's the best climb that she achieved in her career.

She's Korean. SM is not "diabolical". Other than that, good synopsis.
