MBC airs 'Idol Alkkagi Championships' for Lunar New Years

In celebration of Lunar New Years, MBC aired a special program called 'Idol Alkkagi Championships' on January 22nd.

Hosted by�Kim Gura,�Boom, and anchorman�Kim Jung Geun, the annual special included members of Super Junior, SHINee, SISTAR, miss A, T-ara, Girls' Generation, INFINITE, G.NA, NS Yoon-G, Dal Shabet, Boyfriend,�MBLAQ, Girls Day, Teen Top, AA, 8eight, LEDApple, B1A4, M.I.B, CHAOS, A Pink as well as�HOT's�Moon Hee Jun and�Tony An and�Roo'ra's�Go Young Wook.

In this dramatic special, idols face off against each other by playing the traditional Korean board game of alkkagi. To begin, players place seven pieces (either white or black beads) onto a gridded board. Each team takes turns attacking by flicking their beads to knock their opponent's pieces off the board. Whoever first eliminates all of the other team's beads first is the winner.

While the game sounds simple enough, this championship proved that alkkagi is actually a lot harder than it seems. To see for yourself, watch everyone hilariously�struggle in the full episode below!
