IVE members Gaeul and Rei will step up as special MCs on ‘M Countdown’.
According to Starship Entertainment, the two will appear as special MCs on Mnet’s ‘M Countdown’ on February 12 at 6 PM KST.
Gaeul previously took on her first music show MC role as a special MC in February last year, demonstrating stable hosting skills. Despite it being her first time, she led the broadcast with clear diction and witty reactions, and her lively interviews with visiting artists helped energize the set.
Rei has also shown her talk skills through her solo YouTube content ‘Follow Rei’, where she impressed with her cheerful personality and quick wit. She has further showcased her bright and candid charm on various programs. In May last year, she served as an awards show MC for the first time at the ‘Asia Star Entertainer Awards 2025’, earning praise for communicating with global fans. Anticipation is high for her chemistry with Gaeul on ‘M Countdown’.
Both members have also stood out individually. Gaeul contributed to choreography for the mini 3rd album track ‘TKO’ and mini 4th album track ‘♥beats,’ adding to the group’s performance quality. During IVE’s second world tour ‘SHOW WHAT I AM’, she impressed audiences with her solo stage.
On the same day, Gaeul and Rei will also perform IVE’s pre-release track ‘BANG BANG,’ first unveiled on February 9. With their powerful rap parts already drawing attention, expectations are high as they move between MC duties and stage performances. IVE will premiere the ‘BANG BANG’ stage on ‘M Countdown’ at 6 PM today.
