“This time, it’s a global band.” HYBE America is set to launch a next-generation pop group in partnership with Netflix, unveiling the project through an original series.
On January 21, HYBE America announced that it has teamed up with creator Alan Chikin Chow and Netflix to co-produce a scripted series.
Alan Chikin Chow is a YouTuber who runs the channel 'Alan’s Universe,' which boasts approximately 99.2 million subscribers, making him one of the platform’s most influential global creators.
The Netflix series, jointly produced by the two sides, will center on aspiring idols at an arts academy who come together to form a co-ed band. Members of the newly launched pop group will appear in the series, marking the beginning of their official activities as artists. New music will also be released within the show.
Attention is now focused on whether HYBE America can produce another global success following KATSEYE, the group it debuted in 2024. Built on K-pop methodology, the project drew significant attention, and KATSEYE has since risen to prominence, sweeping major Billboard charts in the United States.
Alan Chikin Chow described the collaboration as “a groundbreaking project in which creative teams from HYBE America and Netflix come together to launch a new pop group.” He added that the series will deliver storytelling filled with “creative inspiration and joy,” asking global audiences to look forward to what’s to come.
The Netflix series by HYBE America and Alan Chikin Chow is scheduled to be released at a later date.
