Netflix has officially revealed the teaser for its original series 'You and Everything Else' written by Song Hye Jin and directed by Jo Young Min. The premiere date is confirmed for September 12.
The drama explores the deeply intertwined lives of two lifelong friends, Eun Joong played by Kim Go Eun and Sang Yeon played by Park Ji Hyun, who experience a full spectrum of emotions from admiration and longing to jealousy and resentment across decades. The newly released teaser poster with the caption “Between admiration and resentment” captures the complex dynamics of their relationship and sparks curiosity about their evolving friendship.
The poster depicts Eun Joong and Sang Yeon standing before blurred photos of each other, symbolizing their shared past from adolescence to their 40s. This imagery invites viewers to reflect on the nature of friendship and how these two women will influence each other’s lives.
The teaser trailer opens with a tense exchange between the two. Sang Yeon delivers cutting words and Eun Joong responds with a mix of frustration and resentment. The story flashes back to their childhood and follows their relationship as it faces two painful breakups, leading them to drift apart. This portrayal of friendship navigates the space between envy and admiration, an experience many viewers will find relatable.
Director Jo Young Min described the series as one centered on companionship, saying that following Eun Joong and Sang Yeon’s lives, viewers will encounter moments that remind them of their own past selves and friendships. He hopes it will inspire understanding, forgiveness, and self-discovery.
'You and Everything Else' will be available to stream on Netflix starting September 12.
