Ted Sarandos, Co-CEO of Netflix, expressed his passion for Korean content during an event, which took place on the afternoon of February 16 at Centropolis in Jongno-gu, Seoul.

During the event, Ted Sarandos met with South Korean reporters and shared Netflix's plans for its continued expansion and investment in Korean content.

Ted Sarandos stated, "I am thrilled to be here. The attention journalists give to storytelling and content is incredibly high, which is very encouraging. Your feedback and opinions are instrumental in our ability to create great shows that resonate globally."

He continued, "In 2023, productions like 'Kill Boksoon' and 'The Glory' garnered international acclaim, and in 2024, shows like 'Physical: 100,' 'Sweet Home,' and 'Squid Game' are set to return for another season." Sarandos added, "I know many of you have visited the 'Squid Game 2' set, but I haven't had the chance yet. So, I'm looking forward to experiencing the world and the games that Director Hwang Dong Hyuk will recreate there."

When asked by journalists about the Korean content he enjoyed most last year, Sarandos named 'Physical: 100.'

He also expressed anticipation for 'Squid Game 2' as this year's most anticipated content. He shared, "I hope 'Squid Game 2' surpasses season 1. Season 2 is amazing. The script is great, and the new games seem interesting."

Regarding the rumor that David Fincher will produce an American remake of 'Squid Game,' Sarandos responded, "That's just a rumor." Regarding plans for the foreign version of 'Squid Game,' he said, "Korea first."

This visit marks Ted Sarandos' first official visit to Korea since the 'Netflix and Korean Content Stories' event held in Seoul last June. During this visit, he will tour the Netflix Korea original series production site and the Scandaline VFX (visual special effects) office, which was acquired in 2021.

Netflix recently unveiled the '2024 Major Korean and Global Lineups,' which include 'Squid Game 2,' 'The 8 Show,' 'Sweet Home 3,' 'Gyengseong Creature 2,' 'Dak Gangjeong,' 'Parasite: The Gray,' and 'Physical: 100 Season 2'.

Oh good grief I hope not!!! America has ruined so many good movies and tv programs with their 'remakes', they're nearly always shockingly bad. The only exceptions that I can think of is The Office, which was just as good as the Brit version and maybe Shameless.
