Dex, the popular YouTuber who transitioned into a broadcaster, recently took a moment to look back on his experiences in 2023 and shared his aspirations for the upcoming year, 2024.

On January 15 KST, Dex uploaded a video on his YouTube channel, 'Dex 101'.

In the video, Dex discussed his role as an MC at the '2023 MBC Entertainment Awards' held last year. He candidly admitted, "I'm quite disappointed in myself as I made quite a few mistakes. I wish I could turn back time and do it all over again. Maybe it was nerves, but I could clearly see the teleprompter during rehearsals, yet it turned blurry when we went live."

Regarding his unexpected win of the 'Rookie of the Year' award, Dex shared, "I didn't anticipate receiving the Rookie of the Year award, but strangely, it brought a sense of pressure." To this, the agency's team leader, who was accompanying Dex, responded, "Even if I'm not usually very ambitious, working in this industry requires a certain level of ambition. I understand the hardships you faced and the effort you put in. Your hard work paid off, and in a way, this award is like a report card."

Dex continued, "I'm glad that 2023 concluded on a high note. It was the year when my face became widely recognized. I had my fortune told today, and it mentioned that 2024 is the year when my true character will be defined. In 2024, I'd like to explore acting a bit. I initially planned to concentrate on it, and it's exciting to hear this perspective."

He expressed his gratitude towards the agency's team leader, saying, "I'm thankful that they didn't exploit me recklessly. They could have pushed me hard if they wanted to, but they didn't, and if they had, it might have led to conflicts. I'm truly grateful that it didn't come to that."

Meanwhile, Dex is set to appear in the upcoming horror mystery series 'Tarot,' produced by LG U+ Studio.
