Epik High's Tablo names BIGBANG's Taeyang as his Favorite Artist to Collaborate With
In a Q&A session on Twitter on the 20th of April, Epik High's Tablo named BIGBANG's Taeyang as his favorite artist to collaborate with.
Tablo and Taeyang first collaborated on Tablo's album Fever's End Pt. 2 on the song Tomorrow in 2011, while both were under YG Entertainment.
In 2014, they collaborated again on Taeyang's album Rise, for the English version of the blockbuster song "Eyes Nose Lips."
In this version, Tablo turned the soft, regretful lyrics of the original into a powerful study of the vengeful bitterness of a soured love.
Interestingly, when asked about future collaborations with Taeyang, Tablo said the chances were "fairly high," making fans of both artists speculate that new work may be forthcoming.
Taeyang is currently riding high on the success of BIGBANG's Still Life, which Tablo also promoted on his social media accounts, particularly drawing attention to Taeyang's voice.
Tablo is currently on a successful US tour with his group Epik High. They will be performing at the Coachella Music Festival on April 22nd after a successful run the previous weekend as the only Kpop act that was on the official festival billing for the year. They were also the first Kpop act to perform at Coachella in 2016, opening doors for many other artists.
I was a VIP and a follower of Epik High before their collaboration. When Tablo and Epik High joined YG and Tablo dropped "No Tomorrow" w/ Taeyang, I was hyped. Tablo's cover of ENL, Taeyang's feature on Rich, and Tablo co-writing a lot of songs on Taeyang's Rise album are also great collaborations b/t the two. I hope they get to work together again soon.

I've always been the biggest fan of Epik High and to see them (Tablo in this case) still remain supportive of his former labelmates is heartwarming. This is the charm of the YG Family back then. Can't blame him for choosing Taeyang, too! Taeyang's smooth R&B vocals is such a delight to listen to. Although this is the biggest strength of BIGBANG -- their three vocalists (Taeyang, Seungri and Daesung) have such distinct and beautiful voices. Don't even get me started on Daesung's powerful belts.
And did he just say his chances of collaborating with Youngbae again is FAIRLY HIGH??? It would be great to have another masterpiece like Tomorrow.
