T-ara's Hyomin regrets initially ending relations with MBK Entertainment on bad terms

Hyomin shared feelings of regret regarding MBK Entertainment.

On January 27th, 'TV Report' published a recent article featuring Hyomin, who allegedly cried during the interview while talking about T-ara.

"We [T-ara] dined with President Kim Kwang Soo (of MBK) as our contract came to an end," said Hyomin. "We thought that we had the potential to become Shinhwa or Highlight seniors by ourselves as well."

However, during the process, the issue of keeping the brand name 'T-ara' had arose.

"On our end, we had thought that the President would support the idea. But, we failed to recognize his pain. The conflict between us and the company grew gradually, and none of us could understand each other. All we wanted to do was protect the name of T-ara without giving up," lamented Hyomin.

Later on, when the situation died down, T-ara revisited the company to face the President again. This time, the President had treated them well, because "everybody wanted to end on a good note." Hyomin confessed that she regretted the entire happening, because even the final days of T-ara "had been portrayed under a negative light."

Meanwhile, Hyomin has picked up her solo activities once again, returning with her latest single "U Um U Um".

Hyomin is really polite considering #EverybodyKnows KKS is a piece of shit who will milk his artists for every penny ther worth and make it his life's goal to destroy their reputation if they leave the company

I agree with you 100%, Hyominie is an Angel for still being considerate to MBK or to KKS after all that they did to her and the girls, KKS is Satan..... They should leave the past behind and come back stronger than ever, they have more fans that miss them than they even realize. But yes screw MBK & KKS........

It's weird that the members won the right to use the name and weirder that they would want to. They should leave it behind them along with the ugliness caused by Hwayoung's treachery.

I'm not very hopeful they'll get back together as a group either, it would require them to either be at the same agency or sign non-exclusive contracts with their respective agencies and that might be a complex legal minefield they all would have to agree on. Eunjung is doing her acting thing anyway and not sure if other members want to continue in the music industry. Shame really but good luck ladies.

I'm worried more about Soyeon and Boram who seem to still be traumatized about the way they were treated in MBK and the whole T-ARA scandal. They seem a bit more reluctant to immerse themselves in the industry as before and may be want time to heal. People forget how mentally excruciating it must have been to go through what they have gone through. It's horrifying to see how the press and public showed no mercy and were willing to put out fake news to destroy them. I think the future of T-ARA 6 lies at the hands of Soyeon and Boram. But I feel that it wont be a problem for T-ARA 4 to come together and do an event from time to time. But as much as I love T-ARA 6, I will be okay if they do their own thing as long as they are active and successful. But I really hope for a T-ARA 6 reunion which would be such a shocker.

Boram and Soyeon are the oldest members, if I remember correctly, both over 30 now. They probably want to move on with their lifes, creating families (babies) and living "normal" lifes. It's just normal if they want to end the Idol life. As you say, I think we maybe will see some rare reunion event now and then the coming years, but never again a real "comeback".

They had their best time 2009 to mid 2012, which also in my opinion also was the best period in kpop, at least for me.

I don't think they did anything to claim the right to the name, it was the company that tried to win the right to the name and failed.

its a shame T-ara ended, I sure hope this won't be the end of them, hate or love but there's no denial T-ara had made so much addicting song throughout those years. There's always one song of T-ara you'll put on repeat and it simply never gets boring.

Hyomin darling, you girls are T-ara, and always will be, even if president puts on a short skirt and dances, he ain’t never going to be T-ara. And neither am I or anyone else! He doesn’t need that name for anything but to be petty and mean! You are right, but also classy and beautiful, and Not just in looks! Your beauty goes right to the bone

Well Jiyeon did confirm last month that they were not disbanded and i believe she also put a reunion on her bucket list for 2019. They do own the group name now so they could conceivably get together to make some new music. Not sure what the other members are up to and how busy they are though, so we'll see...

They can still continue to make music with the t-ara brand if they please only to sing their old songs might require a fee, I think it's great to aspire to highlight or shinhwa group, remember there is also brown eyed girls...obviously these groups are less trendy these days...and somehow it seem like it shouldn't even matter....them & t-ara had its fair share of popularity, and in t-ara's case maybe even had some taken away during their prime because of an incident..but that does not change the status of what t-ara once were..people have acknowledge their success and now times have changed...

when times change, instead of keeping up trying to be relevant which will never happen because its already a different generation to begin with...It would be great if t-ara pulled something like a brown eyed girls...they seem to have individual projects, but once in a while they come together to make music for their fans and for the sake of their passion....i hope t-ara has this mindset when pursuing music...

I'd love to see T-ARA promote again (especially my angel Soyeon) but at this point it seems very unlikely. Hyomin's new song is a bop though!

i think because netizens or fans hating the CEO of MBK can bring a negative image to any new girl group MBK debuts or is currently having now (aka DIA), so maybe she dont want to bring harm to them also.

(Repeating) That T-ARA MEMBERS now own the T-ARA Group 'Brand Name' ; is NOT the same as owning the past T-ARA Group HIT SONGS (LEGAL Rights to them). My GUESS, is that IF T-ARA Group now wants to perform their OLD HIT SONGS in a LIVE CONCERT setting, they would STILL need to PAY MONEY to MBK AGENCY for 'Song Permission' (if you will).

The T-ARA Group 'Brand Name' has *TEN YEARS* of *successful* ASIA based K-pop Music Activity associated with it. The T-ARA Members should STAY with the T-ARA Group name. And any 'negative' aspect is more associated with HWAYOUNG and HYOYOUNG (sisters) than with T-ARA Group at this point (my view).

IIRC, KKS was the one who f@cked up by never copyrighting the T-Ara name;

maybe they would have to pay some royalty fees if/when they re-group and do some of their classics, but it'd be a small price indeed to pay to be able to do it AS T-Ara!

I love SNSD, they're my favorite

but T-ara had a very illustrious career up until the whole bullying scandal, which sadly, may or may not be true but the damage is done
