Voting officially opened on October 1 at midnight KST, and runs until October 31. You must register for a Genie Music account to be able to fulfill voting - paid membership accounts can vote up to 3 times per day, and free membership accounts can vote 1 time a day.
The categories for the '2018 MGM' include:
Artist of the Year (33 nominees), Song of the Year (35 nominees), Bestselling Artist of the Year (the following awards all have 5 nominees), Best Digital Album of the Year, Best Male Singer, Best Female Singer, Best Male Group, Best Female Group, Best Male Rookie, Best Female Rookie, Discovery of the Year, Best Male Dance Performance, Best Female Dance Performance, Best Male Vocal Performance, Best Female Vocal Performance, Best Rap/Hip-Hop Award, Genie Music Popularity Award (47 nominees), and finally, the Idol Champ Global Popularity Award (separate voting).
