Korea's Gaon Chart has released chart data for the first half of 2018 (Weeks 1 to 25 from 2018). Check out the results below.
iKON had the best digital song in the first half of 2018 with "Love Scenario". In the first half of 2017, there was only one song with over 100 million streams (Ailee's "I Will Go To You Like The First Snow"). Over the same period in 2018, there were two songs with over 100 million streams (iKON's "Love Scenario" and Jang Duk Chul's "Good Old Days").

The usage of streaming for the top 400 songs in the first half of 2018 increased by 5% compared to the top 400 songs in the first half of 2017.
Of the top 400 songs in the first half of 2017, 179 songs were new songs released in 2017. However, of the top 400 songs in the first half of 2018, only 139 songs were new songs released in 2018.
BTS dominates as their 'LOVE YOURSELF Tear' album sales is more than double of second place Wanna One's 'I Promise You'. TWICE is the only female artist in the top 10 with 'What Is Love?'
Of the top 100 albums sold in the first half of 2018, BTS accounted for 25.3% of the total sales. Wanna One's market share was 16.7% while TWICE's market share was 6.1%
The combined total of the top 400 albums in the first half of 2017 amounted to 6,054,783 album sales. This number increased by more than 4.1 million over the same period this year, as the combined total of the top 400 albums in the first half of 2018 amounted to 10,207,883 album sales.
Of the top 400 streamed songs in the first half of 2018, 29.3% of them were distributed under Loen. Stone Music Entertainment was second in the streaming distribution with a market share of 21.7%.
Of the top 400 albums sold in the first half of 2018, 52.2% of them were distributed under IRIVER. Loen was second in the album distribution with a market share of 19.5%.
Of the top 400 songs in the first half of 2018, 6.1% of the songs were OST's. This is a sharp drop from last year as 14.2% of the top 400 songs in the first half of 2017 were OST's.
