On May 30, RaNia's label DR Music had good news for awaiting fans before they confirmed bad news the group's fans have been wondering about. As previously reported, it seems they were correct about Yumin's departure from RaNia, and she won't be joining the girl group for their comeback next month either.
The agency stated Yumin has been faced "with circumstances that make it increasingly hard for her to follow the extremely demanding team schedule."
Take a look at DR Music's full statement from Facebook below:
We would like to thank you for all your love and ongoing support for our members and the whole Rania team. After we finished the promotions for Rania's "Refresh7th" album last year, everyone on the team - including the members - took two weeks off to relax and recharge their energies before starting to work on Rania's new album, which is scheduled to be released in June, 2018. Over the past few weeks the whole team has been extremely busy preparing for the comeback while also performing at a variety of events that Rania had the honor of being invited to. The voice recordings for the new album are now all finished and we can finally announce that Rania will, amongst others, soon release 3 new songs and 5 refreshing remakes of songs from previous albums. Currently, the members are busy practicing the new choreographies and preparing for their promotions in Malaysia and Brazil which will start on June 27th.
In the midst of this, we unfortunately also have to share some sad news with you. Yumin, who has been a much-loved member of Rania since the "Start a Fire" album, has recently been faced with circumstances that make it increasingly hard for her to follow the extremely demanding team schedule. After much consideration she has come to the difficult conclusion to leave Rania and focus on other aspects of her life instead. We kindly ask for your understanding that we cannot share the exact details of Yumin's circumstances, as this is her own decision and we respect her and the choice she has made. We sincerely hope that her fans will show her the same respect and give her some space for the time being.
In the meanwhile, the other Rania members are doing their best to prepare for their comeback. As originally planned, Rania will go to Malaysia in June and to Brazil in July to promote their comeback, and release their new "Rania Best Album" when they return to Korea in the beginning of August. Please keep cheering for both Yumin as well as our other Rania members. Your support and love mean incredibly much to them.
