He was featured on the 'Extravagant Outing of 7' special, which featured 7 entertainers and actors who aren't known as singers. Before becoming popular as a comedic personality, Boom started his career as a singer and has 12 albums under his belt. He brought some of his upbeat sparkle to his cover of Kim Jong Chan's 1988 hit "I Like Saturday Night", and guitarist Kim Do Kyun joined him.

Despite Boom's energetic performance, it was Park Jun Myun who took the final trophy after winning 3 rounds.
