Viewers are getting disturbed by MBC's 'Secretly Greatly's increasingly severe hidden camera pranks.

The latest episode featured Henry and Sung Hoon at a fake photoshoot. During the shoot, Henry acted out getting electrocuted and bleeding in the water. The situation obviously shocked Sung Hoon, who swam immediately to Henry and dragged him out of the water even though he was fatigued from dieting for two weeks for the photoshoot.

Viewers thought the situation had gone over the top, as now 'Secretly Greatly' was playing with matters of lives. The show had gone lots of criticism before, especially when Kim Soo Ro complained during the first episode of the severity and lack of consideration for the ones being fooled. Other episodes such as Jo Woo Jong's marriage scam episode and Ji Sang Ryul's absurd CF filming had also been controversial.

Perhaps because of the absurdity of the show, the show is currently suffering low ratings - a 6.5% compared to rival '1 Night 2 Days' 17.7% or 'Fantastic Duo 2's 8.5%.

That poor guy, he jumped to Henry's rescue and was genuinely concerned... This disgusted me.

This is the only Kim Heechul show I don't watch... I hate prank shows that go this extreme.

With so many "prank" themed shows around the world, the Production team should have watched and learned some of them. Best bet this show wont made to the end of the year.

Yeah, doesn't sound funny.

I looked at all of the comments. Yes, shows like this are in America. However, you notice that this type of show doesn't last long, mainly because of the extreme danger they portray. I personally didn't like this so I won't be watching it. I can only hope the ratings are so slow or the sponsors pull out due to the severity of the pranks that the show ends up being cancelled.

In Kim Soo Ro's case they went completely overboard and crossed the line since he was abroad doing bussiness but this prank was so normal in my opinion

all of these sort of prank shows are so cringey in my opinion.  It's pretty risky too, depending on the prank and the fact that you have no clue how the person getting pranked will react to it.  What if he panicked while under water and something went wrong? Or those pranks where someone pretends to pick a fight - shit can get out of control

That was not funny in my opinion. What if something wrong really did happen? Plus btw the joke didnt make much sense cause if Henry really did get electrocuted under water everybody else under water wouldve gotten shocked too. Water is conductible, fam.

This "outrage" is funny, I think the problem here is the program focuses more on "shock" similar to American pranks rather than traditional korean pranks where the focus was always on making the victim cry. For example we have hidden cameras done by Super Junior on Ryoowok and Eunhyuk or the hidden camera done by Produce 101, none of those were all that shocking but focused more on the mental state of the victims. OTH, Secretly greatly focuses more on spectacle and complicated pranks maybe that's why the korean audience doesnt like it. With all that said, it's not surprising the show is in 3rd place, I mean 1n2D and Fantastic Duo are big programs.
