Broadcasted on January 25, AOA member Seolhyun appeared in the New Year's Special of JTBC's 'Give Me A Meal', where she went around asking if either of the show hosts, Kang Ho Dong and Lee Kyung Kyu, needed help.

Seolhyun stepped inside the kitchen asking confidently, "Shall I assist you with anything?"  And a few minutes later, she went back again and started preparing for dinner, helping out the owner of the house with making yam and squash pancakes.  Seeing this, Kang Ho Dong commented, "She would make a good daughter, right?"

Moreover, Seolhyun and the homeowner showed off a mother-daughter-like relationship. "You can be my daughter for today," said the homeowner, smiling. "Sure," agreed Seolhyun, and the homeowner remarked, "I wish I had a daughter like her".

After dinner, the singer was able to promote her new song, "Excuse Me" for a minute when she succeeded, winning the hearts of the audience as they applauded.

I want my very own Seolhyun.  Is there a local store I can pick one up at?  We can sit by the fire and drink spiked hot cocoa.  She can dance and I'll pass out from the liquor.

If any parents love their son, of course they would want Seolhyun as a daughter-in-law...  he would be one deliriously happily-as-hell bastard.

Your fake Korean persona is 27, Seolhyun is 22, you are her fake unnie.

Thank you for saying she'd make a good daughter and not a good wife. I can only take so many trips back to 1940's misogyny in one day.

emanresu10 pink_oracle Thursday, January 26, 2017

Huh? Errr... I do not think that word means what you think it means. Lol.

pink_oracle emanresu10 Thursday, January 26, 2017

Yes, equating a wife to a cook/maid is misogynistic.

emanresu10 pink_oracle Thursday, January 26, 2017

Believing a woman who exhibits skill in homemaking to be someone who would make a "good wife" is not inherently misogynistic. It may be sexist as you are assuming a role based on gender. There is, however, a difference between the terms. And the devil is always in the details.

emanresu10 Thursday, January 26, 2017

Put another way: All misogynists are sexists. Not all sexists are misogynists.

pink_oracle emanresu10 Thursday, January 26, 2017

To be misogynistic is to be prejudiced against women. To be sexist is to be prejudiced against a gender.
