The showcase for Black Pink's debut single album 'Square One' was held on August 8 in Seoul Gangnam District's Shinsa-dong.
Member Jisoo said, "We did feel a bit burdened about being the first girl group to come out of YG in seven years but we will try our best to display our best selves. We will also do our best at live [performances] so we don't give our sunbaes a bad name."
Yang Hyun Suk, who was also present at the showcase, said, "Twenty years ago I debuted a group called Swi.T but the results weren't all that great. And seven years ago I debuted 2NE1. But today, it's Black Pink. Maybe that's why, but I do feel burdened and worried about launching a girl group in such a long time."

Yang Hyun Suk then revealed why 2NE1 hasn't come back yet, saying, "It's a bit tricky for 2NE1 to promote at the moment. But Black Pink is now YG's representative girl group to break the long hiatus. That's why I'm paying such painstaking, close attention to them."
