'The Handmaid' is the most recent project of Park, the same man who directed the critically acclaimed 'Oldboy' which was a part of 'The Vengeance Trilogy.'
This new trailer introduces the four main characters in the film, played by Kim Min Hee, Kim Tae Ri, Ha Jung Woo, and Jo Jin Woong.
Kim Min Hee plays a woman from a noble background, and Ha Jung Woo plays a count who is after the woman's large inheritance. Kim Tae Ri comes into the picture as a conniving handmaid who makes a deal with the count. Meanwhile, Jo Jin Woong takes on the role of the noble woman's two-faced guardian and also seems to have motives of his own.
The movie is making its debut at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival on May 14 before hitting theaters.
