tvN aired a special episode ahead of the premiere of 'Reply 1988' on October 30, showing the production crew's first meeting with their lead girl, Girl's Day's Hyeri.
When asked by the producer if she had wanted to act, she replied, "I originally wanted to act more than sing." She then was shown immersing herself in practicing her lines, repeating even the smallest movements. Despite a fever throughout her body, she still diligently rehearsed.

She stated to the camera, "I will not get tired of this!" showing her strong passion for acting. Make sure you see see how well her hard work paid off in the premiere on November 6.
