Perpetrators responsible for Davichi's Kang Min Kyung's composite photo receive sentencing

The two perpetrators behind the malicious edited photos of�Davichi's Kang Min Kyung�received a six-month jail sentence, a two-year suspended sentence, and a requirement of 80-hour community service.

�According to the Seoul Central District Court, the two perpetrators including Mr. Kim (32)�had uploaded a composite picture of a woman who looks to be Kang Min Kyung entertaining a man at a bar in just her underwear onto an internet cafe and blog back on March 6 under the title "Kang Min Kyung's Sponsor Picture."

The court stated, "Although Mr. Kim and more didn't make a conclusive remark that the woman in the composite photo is without a doubt Ms. Kang... it was suggested by the content of the post seen by the public that it is Ms. Kang... This can potentially damage the image of Ms. Kang who is currently active as a celebrity so the nature of this crime is severe."

"In order for a celebrity to attain a good image, they make constant effort but in the case of that image being damaged by others' illegal acts, it can't help but to take a severe toll on the celebrity."
