Last year, Lee Joon had been an unintended victim when the Oh Yeon Seo-Lee Jang Woo dating scandal broke out, since he was the 'husband' of the actress on 'We Got Married' at the time. The on-screen couple ultimately stepped down from the show due to 'scheduling issues'.

He was a guest on the July 2 episode of SBS' 'Incarnation', where he explained, "A lot of things happened at once, and people started to criticize the sincerity of the show. But to be honest, both Oh Yeon Seo and I are victims. A man and woman can just meet up, but the situation got blown up through the pictures. When I explained myself, Oh Yeon Seo got cursed at by herself. I hope that stops. It's not anyone's fault."
He also said, "I didn't date her for real. And I don't think she did anything wrong. But I suddenly became the icon in a tragic role, and I looked really pitiful."
