2010 is a new beginning for Nam Gyuri

After leaving her music group, many wondered what former SeeYa member Nam Gyuri would be doing with her career. When it was revealed that she was preparing to act, fans began to eagerly anticipate her comeback. She was recently cast in an upcoming SBS drama called Life is Beautiful and has announced that 2010 will be a new journey for her. Nam Gyuri said, "2010 is a new beginning. It may be a really cheesy thing to say but this project is all I have. I don't want to think about anything else and nor do I have the time." It seems that transitioning from singing to acting isn't exactly easy, but she expressed joy by saying, "More than anything, I'm happy because the dream I drew for myself is finally beginning. Also, I'm very honored that my first project is with director Kim Soo Hyun. Last year was really tough and I think I went through a lot as I overcame many emotional obstacles to get here." The singer-turned-actress also gave us a little insight on the differences between the art of music and acting as she said, "A musician's job is to drag out the emotion from the heart at once but acting is something you have to slowly create. I'll work hard so that I may become a highly recognized actress." The first episode of Life is Beautiful is scheduled to air on the 20th.
