Well, not quite, but SBS failure (?), Dream has been gathering some attention, or rather Kim Bum because of his character's similarity with the manga, Slam Dunk's main character, Hanamichi Sakuragi. Sure the sport, the looks, the environment they grew up in are all different, but they both have the 'dense-only-lives-for-sports-' type of character. Their characters believe that they are geniuses, have a never-ending supply of confidence, are honest, and short-tempered. And lastly, they start living in their own world when it comes to their love interest, Jang Suk (Kim Bum) towards So Yeon (Son Dambi) and Hanamichi Sakuragi towards Haruko Akagi. In my opinion, basically all Korean dramas have a main male character that is either super arrogant, or just really dense and sweet. Looks more like a ploy to get attention for this drama than any real substantial similarities. What do you think? Fantasy or fact?
