Jukeon, a Korean music site, held a poll from January 17 to January 23 to see which idol group is the most anticipated in the year of 2008. 5,542 members voted, and with a vote of 2,085 (37.13% of the total), DBSK (Tohoshinki) was named the most anticipated group of the year. DBSK, who has been named Asia's #1 Male Group, has been extremely busy, on January 16, they released their 16th single "Purple Line" in Japan. Their single has since reached number one on Japanese music charts. With 1,899 (34.27%) votes, the hip-hop group Big Bang followed closely behind. Big Bang who released their Japanese album this month, will also begin performing and promoting their album in February or March. Coming in third place, with 996 (17.97%) votes, was the Wonder Girls, the only girl group on the list. Last year, the girls received much recognition with their song "Tell Me." Their next album is planned for release sometime in May. Shinhwa grabbed fourth place with 396 (7.15%) votes, and SS501 grabbed fifth place with 193 (3.48%) votes. Do these numbers hold true?
