4minute‘s HyunA shared her thoughts on returning to the stage after being hospitalized.

HyunA stated, “I stood on stage again after ten days. I was so happy and thankful to win #1 with my members. As much as a lot of people worried for me, I will work even harder. Thank you. Also, I was so joyful yesterday that I kept laughing uncontrollably. I didn’t cry.”

HyunA returned from her hospital stay, fully recovered, to reunite with her group on ‘M! Countdown‘ and won the #1 title for their second consecutive week with “What’s Your Name?“. Although HyunA looked like she was shedding tears upon the win, she came forward to explain that she was instead laughing in happiness.

Big Bang‘s Taeyang celebrated his 26th (25th international age) birthday today on May 18, but rather than make the day about him, he made sure to thank his fans and pay his respects to those affected by the ‘5.18 Gwangju Democratization Movement‘.

Taeyang shared, “Although today is my birthday, it is also a historic day that we can’t forget. The sentiment I feel every year from being born on this meaningful day is always different! I will live out my day with a thankful mindset as I remember the people who congratulated me and the people who became a piece of history.”

5.18 is the day that Taeyang brought his swag into the world, but it is also the day of the Gwangju Democratization Movement, which honors the civilians who lost their lives during the unfortunate event that took place in 1980.

It’s been rumored that IU experienced an assault by an overzealous fan at actor Seo Ji Suk’s wedding, where she was invited to sing.

After news hit the SNS world, fans went wild with worry, tweeting and posting up a storm. According to a shared account of what occurred, a young male who looked to be in his early 20s suddenly grabbed the mic after IU’s performance and asked her if she’d like to marry him. Startled, IU ran away and the man grabbed her. When she started screaming, the bodyguards arrived and quickly took care of the situation.

However, IU’s agency has come forward to clear up a few details. Loen Entertainment stated, “We’ve seen the posts on Twitter, and there are a lot of false reports. A random fan did appear, but there was no assault. It wasn’t a big deal.”

Netizens commented, “IU must’ve been so scared,” “Be strong, IU,” “I’m relieved she wasn’t hurt,” and more.

In related news, actor Seo Ji Suk married his bride at an unreleased location in Nonhyundong, Seoul on the 18th.

Actor Joo Won recently made a trip to the emergency room after injuring his nose while filming ‘1Night 2 Days‘.

His agency revealed on the 18th, “During the filming for ’1N2D’, Joo Won was in the middle of a game with the football team at Korea Maritime University and his nose collided with a player’s head, and he ended up injuring the ridge of his nose, causing swelling.”

Reportedly, Joo Won fell onto the floor and was unable to get up for some time, leading the staff to pause filming. Joo Won was rushed to the emergency room where he received treatment, and the actor showed his dedication to his work by insisting that he comes back to finish the filming afterwards.

Hopefully the injury is minor and Joo Won will recover quickly!

Soccer player Ki Sung Yong opened up about his quick engagement with actress Han Hye Jin, coming only 4 months after they started dating, and also denied the rumors of a shotgun wedding.

Kim Hyun Chul finally tied the knot with his beautiful wife on May 17!

His wife is a non-celebrity woman 13 years his junior. Singer Cho Young Nam was the officiator of the ceremony, while comedian Park Myung Soo was the host of the reception. His wedding was held at the beautiful 63 City building in Seoul.

Before the wedding, Park Myung Soo and Yoo Jae Suk joked about the wedding celebratory fees. Park Myung Soo said, “I wont say how much I’m giving, but I’m holding Jung Hyung Don‘s celebratory gift and he’s paying 300,000 KRW (approximately $270 USD).”

Yoo Jae Suk laughed and said, “Why are you revealing others’ celebratory fees?“, but then brought more laughter as he added, “Ji Suk Jin paid 200,000 KRW (approximately $178 USD). Jung Hyung Don is his hoobae, but he paid 100,000 KRW more than him.”

‘You’re the Best Lee Soon Shin’ unveiled IU’s drawing of co-star Choi Kang Won who plays the role of Jae Bum in the drama. IU made sure not to miss out on any detail of the actor’s sculptured face by drawing his charismatic eyes, chic hairstyle, and high-bridge nose. For Teacher’s Day in Korea, he wasn’t able to go to class because he was busy filming ‘Book of the House of Gu‘, which is currently the top drama in its time slot. So instead, he gifted the 50-60 Masters/Doctorates students and professors at the Dongguk University Culture Contents Graduate School a feast at a restaurant.

The school was delighted and said, “We didn’t have a separate event for Teacher’s Day at school, but we had our first event in years thanks to Lee Seung Gi. He prepared the highest quality food, and the manager stayed until the last person left and took care of everything.”

Chae Ri Na confirmed the dating rumors stating, “Park Yong Geun and I are dating well. We supported each other through difficult times and became a source of strength for each other. But as mentioned in the rumors, we haven’t been dating since last July. On the episode, the pair had gone to a doctor, who told her that her thyroid was functioning at a higher rate than normal. The doctor said, “Your physical ability may be lacking, and you might have a hard time doing everyday things. You might have a hard time getting pregnant. But you don’t have to worry because you can get treated. We’ll control your pulse and use medicine.”

For the fans who have been voicing their concerns, her agency assured them that it’s not as serious as they think and that the singer is currently undergoing treatment. “It hadn’t reached a serious stage when it was discovered, so with consistent treatment, she’s been getting better and better.”
