On February 20, stars including Jang Hyuk, SHINee's Minho, Kang Daniel, Park Gun, Shin Seung Hwan, Choi Sung Min, Song Hoon, and more began their jungle survival on SBS's 'Laws of the Jungle - The Pioneers'!

On this day, the cast and crew gathered on a remote island off of Goheung-gun in the Jeolla province to experience what it was like for some of the first settlers, arriving on uninhabited land. 

For SHINee's Minho and Kang Daniel, this marked their first ever 'Laws of the Jungle' experience! As the crew arrived on the island, Kang Daniel opened up with, "I am the biggest homebody. I've never worn so many layers of clothing in my life."

When the young idol stars arrived on the island, chief Kim Byung Man and the rest of the hyungs welcomed them enthusiastically, saying, "How come you guys came all the way here when you're so busy?".

Later on, the crew members first began their survival by beginning a fire, as always. Kang Daniel then showed off a brand new knife he prepared for his jungle survival, and Kim Byung Man instructed him on how to make use of it best to cut up some firewood. 

The first bite of food the crew members came across on the island was a piece of arrowroot! Park Gun successfully dug up the root from nearby the camping site, and the members all went on chewing on the root vigorously, all mimicking camels!

When the crew members divided up and began scavenging the island for food, the group led by Jang Hyuk, Minho, and Shin Seung Hwan came across some persimmon trees! The men passionately climbed up trees low and high, picking handfuls of sweet persimmons.
