Fans light up Seoul with creative projects for BTS V's 30th birthday

V of BTS has reached the milestone age of 30, marked by an overwhelming outpouring of love from fans around the world.

This is V’s first birthday outside the military since 2022. He spent the past two birthdays during his 18-month mandatory military enlistment. To celebrate his return and his 30th birthday, fans organized a wide range of large-scale projects across South Korea.

  • CUSTOM GIANT DOLL & PANORAMIC SCREEN AT YEOUIDO HANGANG PARK

A 6-meter-tall giant V doll was installed in front of the Hangang Cruise Terminal, one of the most central and high-traffic areas of Hangang Park, drawing attention from both local visitors and tourists.

The giant doll is dressed in a Los Angeles Dodgers uniform, paying tribute to the moment V threw the ceremonial first pitch at Dodger Stadium in August 2025.

  • PHOTO SPOT NEAR HYBE

A dedicated photo spot was set up at the park next to HYBE, featuring a 3-meter-tall Christmas tree commemorating the 4th anniversary of V’s song “Christmas Tree,” along with V standees. The space became a perfect location for fans to take photos.

    • BIRTHDAY DISPLAY & PHOTOZONE IN SEONGSU

    Another birthday display and photo zone was installed across from Seongsu XYZ, serving as a meetup spot for fans to gather and take photos.

      • SUBWAY LIGHTBOX SCREENS

      Lightbox screens in subway stations showcased V’s birthday advertisements, reaching over a million passengers daily.

      • WRAPPED BUS ADS

      Multiple buses wrapped in V’s birthday greetings were stationed outside the HYBE building, further amplifying the celebration.

        • BILLBOARDS & GIANT SCREENS

        Six massive screens exceeding 1,500㎡ were displayed across Seoul’s most crowded and iconic areas, including Gangnam, Hongdae, Sinchon, Myeongdong, and Seoul Station. Numerous additional outdoor digital screens across the city also lit up in celebration of V’s birthday.

        • SEONGSU-DONG AK VALLEY LAPPING AD

        The first-ever lapping advertisement at Seongsu-dong’s AK Valley—one of Seoul’s trendiest landmarks—was unveiled, an area with daily foot traffic exceeding 100,000 visitors.

        • CAFE EVENTS

        Over 30 café events were held across different locations, each featuring its own unique theme or aesthetic. These cafés became gathering spaces where fans could meet, connect, and share their love for V.
