
Actor Jang Dong Yoon will be attending the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN) as a film director.
Jang Dong Yoon is set to unveil his upcoming film 'Nuruk (Yeast)' (directed by Jang Dong Yoon), which follows his first directorial work, the short film 'Please Be My Ear.' This marks his second project and his debut as a feature-length director.
'Nuruk' is set in a traditional makgeolli (Korean rice wine) brewery and tells a story of family conflict and reconciliation. Through the theme of "reconciling with the past," the film delivers a deep emotional resonance.
This official invitation signifies a meaningful step forward for Jang Dong Yoon as a director. A representative noted, “Audiences can look forward to detailed psychological portrayals and refined mise-en-scène.”
Meanwhile, Jang Dong Yoon will personally take part in a post-screening Q&A session for 'Nuruk,' where he will share behind-the-scenes stories and insights about the film. The exact schedule will be announced at a later date.
