North Korean defector and actress Kim Ara ties the knot

North Korean defector and actress Kim Ara tied the knot with her non-celebrity fiance. 

On October 28th, actress Kim Ara got married to her non-celebrity fiance. The two met at a church and she personally announced the news of her marriage back in September. 

She first appeared on Korea's broadcast through Channel A's variety show 'Now On My Way to Meet You' in 2012, which is a talk show featuring North Korean defectors. 

Kim Ara officially started her acting career in 2015 through a web drama and she also appeared in 'Crash Landing On You' as one of the villagers. It was reported she went to China in 2003 and came to South Korea in 2009.
